Le charmant panier de vélo ELMINA arbore un motif géométrique turquoise, rose et jaune. Sa taille est réduite pour s'adapter aux vélos et scooters pour enfants. Il est fourni avec deux supports à boucle en cuir pour la fixation aux poignées. L'herbe Veta vera (également connue sous le nom d'« herbe à éléphant ») pousse à l'état sauvage au Ghana et est incroyablement robuste lorsqu'elle est tissée. Nos paniers de vélo ghanéens sont une célébration de la matière première naturelle abondante du nord du Ghana et des compétences ancestrales de tissage de ses habitants : un style durable et une production éthique, de bout en bout. Dans le cadre de notre engagement continu envers les tisserands, nos paniers sont fabriqués à partir de matériaux naturels indigènes de la région dans laquelle ils sont tissés.

We are proud to support the weavers in a truly fair trade, supplying a supplementary source of income to help sustain farming communities whose primary income can be unreliable.

If your basket gets wet, simply leave it to dry naturally and re-shape. When not in use, we recommend storing somewhere completely dry (and damp proof!).

As each basket is individually handmade, some variation in size and colour may occur.

It is a company almost a decade in the making, and it all started with a road trip from South Africa to Nairobi.

Holly McMullen, the CEO of The Basket Room, embarked on her journey into ethical African textiles while travelling the continent with her father in 2006. Six years later, while studying fashion design, she met co-founder Camilla Sutton, and the idea of The Basket Room was born.

International Delivery:

We ship worldwide for £30, depending on the weight of parcel. If it is a particularly heavy parcel, we may need to contact you with an updated quote.

Retours
